University project for my Applied Typography class. The brief was to choose an influential person that we admire and make a book about him/her. My choice fell on Salvador Dali, and talked about his childhood, his work and analysed the composition of one of his paintings.
The purpose of the project was to work on grids, do layouts, experiment with type and to learn the stitch binding.
I've painted the cover with acrylic on a cardboard, scanned it and printed it on a canvas that made the cover. The book consists of 4 sections that includes a flip book where the ants move around on the edge of the paper.
The inner cover is found on Deviantart made by: Christina Neofotitou "Salvador Dali autosodomised by His own Inspiration".
